SME&AF ABUJA HOLD'S HER INAUGURAL MEETING ADJOURNS TILL FEB, 29,2020

Good morning and Happy Sunday great Volunteers.

Truly yours, the meeting was topnotch.

We register all praises and adoration to God, the omnidirectional; the alpha & omega.

SME (AF) Abuja is a moving train that's unstoppable by God's grace.

To start with, Our profound and sincere appreciation as an organization to our noble Patrons and Patroness, BOT members and Sponsors.

I also congratulate  everyone on this great platform for belonging to this noble organization and salute the humanitarian spirit of our Convener, Snr. Volunteer Shipeolu David.

The meeting held at Millennium Park, Abuja yesterday as scheduled, and three people were in attendance i.e. (Snr. Vol. David Shipeolu, Vol. Afeez Ogundele & Vol. Francisca Uba)

What an enlightening, educating,

informative and interesting deliberation! The meeting started with the opening prayer from Vol. Afeez Ogundele at about 04:10pm.

The Convener started by introducing himself while others did same, after which he shed more light on the organization's Vision, Aims and Objectives as well as Modus Operandi.

The Convener recounted some of the success recorded so far by  the organization and charge every Volunteer to use their connection to connect others about our great organization.

For the actualization of the vision, aims and objectives, the Convener suggested 'Operation Catch them Young approach'. 

There were other suggestions from Volunteers like going to radio stations, schools, writing to government agencies and ministries of Education, FCT, Youths and Sport, Information, Communication and concerned international NGO like SDGs.

Vol. Afeez suggested creating a platform that will serve as an avenue where people can get genuine and valuable information as regard employment vacancies, recruitment and other necessary information in order to reduce the issue of fraud and other dangers that people experience as a result of fake and false information.

Vol. Francisca Uba emphasized on the importance of debate among the youths as it helps in building confidence and increasing their reasoning and creative skills. She buttressed her view by saying this will help in channelling their energy and the time spend on social media towards something positive and beneficial. 

She's of the opinion of taking Chess game and other advance games to schools in  as a way of making student think logically and provide solutions to issues. Her view was corroborated by other Volunteers as they believe that such will help in promoting unity and interaction.

The Convener while discussing Membership Procedure, he urge all intending members to obtain form so as to have record with the association and for the process of ID card.

The Convener charge Vol. Afeez to serve as an interim spokesperson of the organization in Abuja pending the time FCT executive will be set up.

The meeting was unanimously adjourned to the last Saturday of this month; February 29, 2020 at the same venue and the same time. (Millennium Park, 3:00pm).
