Meet Hon. Nathaniel Olusola Otesile

Nathaniel Olusola OTESILE, born on Wednesday, 15th April, 1970, was a Nigerian bureaucrat, educationist, businessman and politician. He is a graduate of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta who had his Master degree in Physics, specialising in instrumentation, from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan. He also holds the Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye.

Olusola has had over twenty years combined experience in teaching, information technology and telecommunication industries as well as in farming and education administration. He belongs to many professional bodies which include the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) where he was the first State Vice Chairman of the society and former Chairman, Education Committee of Ogun State Chapter of the society, British Computer Society. He is a co-founder, Pioneer Board of Trustees Chairman and a fellow of Computer Teachers’ Association of Ogun State Nigeria. He is licensed as Information Technology practitioner by Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) (CPN).

Mr. Otesile had a brief stint at Nigeria Online Limited; worked as one of the pioneer staffs at Starcomms Limited; and later moved to join Cell Communications Limited (now Visafone) to start up the Billing and Information Technology Department. In his role as the Head of Information Technology at Cell Communications Limited (now Visafone), Mr. Otesile oversees the entire billing and information technology operations in all the branches of the company including the head office. He later joined Ogun State Civil Service as an Education Officer and rose through the rank to attain the status of Chief Education Officer. 

In search for a diligent, reliable and hardworking individual within the ministry to work directly as Special Assistant to the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olusola was quickly identified as a round peg in a round hole for this challenging assignment and he thus worked in that capacity between 1st September, 2011 and 29th May, 2015. His sterling performance earned him a commendation personally endorsed by the Honourable Commissioner. He also represents the Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) on the board of Ogun State Technical and Vocational Education Board. 

In 2018, Olusola was an aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the seat of Federal House of Representatives under Abeokuta North, Obafemi-Owode and Odeda Federal Constituency. He is currently the Chairman of Amobern Global Limited and Managing Director of Denitan Farms Nigeria Limited.

Mr. Olusola Otesile, who is a patron or advisers to many organisations and consultant to some companies, has received many commendations and awards for exemplary leadership and dedication to duty. His natural calling is helping the youths to discover their God-given potentials with a view to making them fulfill their purpose in life. Olusola attributes his sterling success to the favour of God through integrity, diligence and dedication. He is happily married.
